TOP AWARD FOR IRONWOOD SHIRAZ

Ironwood Estate Wines has landed prestigious recognition at the recent WA Boutique Wine Awards.

The 2021 Ironwood Estate Shiraz has received the gold trophy for the best Shiraz in class, and in a double win for the Porongurup based label their Shiraz was deemed the best red at show.

Owner Gene Harma said the double gold recognition was reward for a family commitment to deliver quality local cool climate wines.

“As a small family run business an award of this calibre is welcome and a top shelf result.”

“We have had two outstanding Shiraz vintages of recent, and this best in show award builds on a gold last year for the 2020 vintage,” said Mr Harma.

“The Porongurup region has an ever-growing catalogue of success and it is great to add to this legacy.”

“With Christmas round the corner it’s the perfect time to try or gift the 2021 Shiraz for someone special,” said Mr Harma.

“The region has so much to offer this time of the year, and we can’t wait to open our doors to friends and visitors alike this festive season.”
